Summertime in the northeast is magical. The weather is perfect, the people are happy, and there is always a surplus of fun to be had. Our team at Boston Direct has had our list of must-attend activities written out for months and is excited to share a few of them with you! We’re all about promoting our community. So, the four we’re highlighting today are inexpensive and people-focused.

Before diving in, we want to remind everyone that although COVID-19 restrictions have lessened over the past few months, the virus is still very much a threat. Before visiting any of the following locations, please visit their websites to learn about the safety precautions they have in place. While we’re excited for everyone to have an enjoyable season, staying healthy is our top priority!

“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.” — Jenny Han

Garden in the Woods

Nothing beats a Massachusetts summer, and you better believe that we are going to jump at every opportunity to spend our days outside this year! 365 days ago, we were hiding away in quarantine. Now that it’s safe to do so, we are going to be visiting Garden in the Woods as much as possible. An escape from the hustle of our daily lives, this 45-acre retreat is the perfect location for our team to rest and reset. Filled with eskers, steep-sided valleys, and a kettle pond, there is plenty to look at and enjoy!

Learned Pond Beach

Located between Union Avenue and Concord Street, Learned Pond Beach is open from late June to late August. While we love the summer heat, sometimes we need a break. When we’re itching to cool off and have some fun in the water, this is our go-to spot! An excellent activity for kids and adults, we encourage you all to plan a visit ASAP as the temps continue to rise.

Eastleigh Farm

Ice cream, wagon rides, and more! Eastleigh Farm is open for the 2021 season, and you can bet that we’ll be making an appearance or two. Whether you’re looking to entertain your family or are a vintage enthusiast, a trip here needs to be at least a bi-monthly experience. Our theme this summer is the great outdoors, and Eastleigh Farm checks all of our boxes. They’ve got a serene landscape, a beautiful picnic area, farmhouse home decor, and of course, the best ice cream in town!

AMC Dine-In Framingham 16

We can’t spend every free minute outside. So, instead of being cooped up indoors on the couch, we head over to AMC Dine-In Framingham 16 for a fantastic movie experience! With their comfortable seats, mobile ordering feature, and private rental theater option, they are our favorite spot to see the latest feature films. Because of the delay in movie releases because of the pandemic, tons of movies are being dropped this summer. Don’t miss out; plan a visit now!

Now that you’ve read a few of the summertime activities we’ll be enjoying, are you excited to start checking off boxes with us? We are team-focused here at Boston Direct and are ready to bond with our team in our wonderful community!

If you’re out of work and are interested in learning what we have to offer, give our recruiting team a call at (508) 309–4750.
